Keyword Density

Keyword Density

It is defined as, number of times a keyword is used over the total number of words on the page.

For example: I have written a paragraph

The SEO is very important nowadays, SEO can be divided in to two parts On Page Optimization and Off Page Optimization. Also there are many SEO companies.

Here SEO keyword has repeated 3 times and the total words are 27

The formula for Keyword Density is (Total Number of repeated keyword / Total number of words) *100

So, in this example Keyword Density is (3/27)*100 = 11.11

So, keyword density is important factor in On Page Optimization. Lesser the keyword density, indicates a good webpage. If the percentage of keyword density is more in a webpage than search engine could considered that page in spamming.

Typically a keyword density between 6 to 15 percentage indicates a good webpage

  1. SEOQuake
SEOQuake is one of the most popular SEO toolboxes. It’s an extension that displays an SEO overview of any given page through a toolbar or SERP overlay. It can show the total number of indexed pages, domain age, social shares and external links.
This tool’s shining quality is its fluidity. Instead of individually checking sites through a standalone tool, you can view real time stats as you browse.
SEOQuake also offers a free on-page audit tool so that you know if there are any errors on your site – and, of course, they offer tips on how to correct these errors. Once you land on the page, just click the icon on the toolbar area.
