URL Structure is also important part of On Page Optimization. For example try to give user friendly URLs which can be easily remember.

For example http://www.websitename.com/folder/100000/6789.html this URL is very hard to remember and if a user wants link to your website then it will look very ugly.

Instead of the above URL following is good example of URL

http://www.websitename.com/animals/dogs.html In this if a user want to give a link to your website and then user can use Anchor Text Dogs and this type of URLs can be easily understand by the user and as well as search engine.

Following are good examples to improve your URLs structure

(1) Try to use words in URLs and ignore numbers

(2) Try to use directory structure example http://www.websitename.com/animals/dogs

(3) Try to give short and meaningful URLs.

(4) Don't repeat keywords in URLs example http://www.websitename.com/animals-animals/dogs-dogs.html

(5) Don't use capital letters in URLs

(6) Don't use that directory name which has no meaning with your content example: http://www.websitename.com/cars/dogs In this example cars has no meaning with dogs.
